Monkey See, Monkey Do...Children’s Bookstore (MSMD) opened in 2009. Our mission is to foster a love of reading, spark curiosity and imagination, encourage independent thinking, and promote healthy, active lifestyles for all ages. We offer curated book services and literacy experiences to entertain, educate and inspire readers of all ages.
 

 In 2012, MSMD received national recognition with the distinct Pannell Award, given to one children's bookstore each year that shows exceptional creativity in helping to foster a love of reading and books in children and young adults.

 

In 2014 we founded the WNY Children’s Book Expo in the City of Buffalo with  collaborative partners Read to Succeed Buffalo and Medaille College, along with sponsor support by WNY businesses. This  week-long celebration of children's literature allowed  thousands of children to meet authors/illustrators and listen to their inspiring stories during in-school visits.

In 2021 MSMD pivoted our business model to become a fully-mobile and pop-up bookstore; expanding our book services and literacy experiences throughout the Country and providing book delivery anywhere in the USA!
